Say less, do more: How to be concise

Have you ever been asked a question and realized that you’ve been answering for so long you’ve lost your train of thought? Maybe you’ve watched a colleague go on for so long that the audience has moved on.

When communicating at work, most speakers have more knowledge and experience than time to make their point. But unless you can summarize and synthesize your idea or answer, you won’t be able to connect, make decisions, or persuade.
